My Toolbox

The hardware, software, and apps I rely on daily to build software, learn, and stay productive.

Workstation

  • Apple M1 Pro MacBook Pro

The machine that handles everything — React apps, Python scripts, Docker containers, even some ML training. The battery life and performance-per-watt is unmatched. Silent under load.

  • Apple M4 Mac Mini

Dedicated OpenClaw box and always-on desktop dev machine. Is it overkill? Absolutely. Is it fun overkill? Also absolutely. MacBook stays portable, Mini does the heavy lifting.

  • Windows PC (RTX 2080 Ti, 64GB RAM)

My backup powerhouse for GPU-heavy tasks and experiments. Built it before memory prices went wild, so yes, I got 64GB RAM before it felt like a $900 life decision.

  • Logitech G915 TKL

Low-profile mechanical with wireless. Found it on sale at Best Buy after seeing it recommended on Blind. The tactile switches hit just right.

  • Contour RollerMouse Red

Centered mouse bar that sits in front of the keyboard. Zero shoulder strain, no reaching. Once you go ergonomic, you never go back.

  • Yamaha HS7 + Focusrite Scarlett 2i2

Studio monitors for music and focus sessions. Pairs perfectly with Brain.fm. Good audio makes long coding sessions sustainable.

Development

  • VS Code

The obvious choice. Extensions make it infinitely customizable — ESLint, Prettier, GitLens, Tailwind IntelliSense. Fast enough, flexible enough.

  • Warp

Modern terminal that actually feels like it was built this decade. AI command suggestions, blocks for output, and it's fast. Replaced Hyper for most terminal work and never looked back.

Productivity

  • Obsidian

My second brain. All notes in Markdown, all local, all linked. Perfect for CS coursework, project documentation, and spaced repetition with the Anki plugin. The graph view reveals connections I didn't know existed.

  • Brain.fm

Designer-generated focus music backed by neuroscience research. Sounds like a gimmick until you try it. Now I can't code without it.

  • Toggl Track

Time tracking with Pomodoro built in. Helps me understand where my hours actually go versus where I think they go.
